pack, Pack, PACK!!!

Hello Friends,

It's a material day with our materials getting our attention.  What do we take?  What do we leave?  How many bags do we want to schlep through the airports and around the Arequipa area?  What can we stand to loose if someone makes off with it?

What do we want and what do we really need?!

We have our luggage crammed with 'stuff' - clothes for cool and fresh weather, sundries to keep us comfortable, tools to do whatever jobs lay ahead of us, electronics to document our trip and of course some open-mindedness to fill in the gaps as we come across them.  We have time to react to the things we don't have on hand, but pressure is on to wrap up our home lives and get ready for meeting those who can share a thing or two about what it means to really live life with only the minimum material goods - if that.

Our faith teaches us that the material is not what is important, yet it is the material we are worrying about bringing.  Balance is important in this journey, and in practicing before we go, we can hope to continue when faced with the decisions at Elohim School.
This is NOT the way to fit it all.  A little heavy on
the material, here.
--- Try again!
Time for some sleep, and a final day of preparation tomorrow.  Thanks again for the prayers - keep them coming!

With faith and prayers,

Final preparations are under way!

Friends!

Our time to travel to Arequipa, Peru is coming near. On Friday, we met for the last time before we leave, and find ourselves with several opportunities once we arrive in Peru. There are two other Living Waters installations nearby, one right at the Mission where we will be staying, at Alto Cayma. Both systems will need review, but we also get to see what they look like in place.

We have our final lists of items to pack, equipment to bring, and of course, weight limits to adhere to. Packing and preparing are our focus this week, to be sure we have everything to take along, and also to be sure our home lives are tidy while we are away for a week.
There are many people we will meet along the way as well.  We had a chance to see their photos to put faces with the names of those who have guided us this far, and will take us to meet the people of Arequipa.  We are trusting those who will guide us in Peru, as we can tell they are hoping for great things in us.  We are already learning a lot about our hosts and what they are doing for the children and families of Elohim School, and the coming week promises to be a great experience of sharing and growing in faith.

This time is every bit as much our Mission as our time in Peru!  We thank you for all the great questions and prayers you have offered, creating a conduit for Grace as we represent you to the people of Peru.

With faith and prayers,
The PCB-LWW Team
