A rekindled spirit, and mission to Guatemala!

Have you quenched your thirst with a refreshing glass of water or brushed your teeth with convenient tap water? Do you enjoy eating fresh fruit or a crisp salad? These things we do because our water is clean, keeping us healthy and smiling. Many places in the world do not have this necessity, with children and adults suffering from the parasites they get from unclean water. The Presbyterian Church of Barrington is partnering with Fox Valley Presbyterian Church in traveling to some of the places of greatest need for clean water in Guatemala. Our mission is to install two systems which will clean the water, making it safe to drink. This cleaned water is part of a process to rid their bodies from parasites, allowing them to attend school and hold jobs, improving both their quality of life and longevity.

Living Waters for the World is a mission dedicated to providing clean water to those who have no access. Please read more on their web page: www.livingwatersfortheworld.org

Our team will be leaving in the early hours of January 23 (Flight at 2am) from O'Hare airport, arriving in Guatemala City at 6:30 in the morning for our bus ride to Reu.

Please follow along - and pray along - with our journey!

Faithfully,
The Presbyterian Church of Barrington and Fox Valley Living Waters Team.

For truly I tell you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink
because you bear the name of Christ will by no means lose the reward.

Mark 9:41
